Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy - Regulations in effect
Skilling Australians Funds (SAF) levy: Regulations have now come into effect on 12th August 2018. Ammendmens were also introduced to:
- Nomination Training Contribution Charge
- Labour Market Testing (LMT)
Nomination Training Contribution Charge
Every nomination application made by certain categories of sponsors must be accompanied by the ‘Nomination Training Contribution Charge’.
The obligation to provide training has been repealed.
The nomination training contribution charges to be paid are as follows:

Labour Market Testing (LMT) requirements in effect
Labour Market Testing (LMT) requirements and alterations in effect from 12th August 2018 include:
- the duration of the LMT undertaken will need to be four weeks,
- will need to have been undertaken within four months immediately prior to lodgement
- skills and experience must be advertised.
